Generation (Change?) is a Malta-based non-profit voluntary youth organisation founded by qualified youth workers and young people. It operates as a youth-led and youth-focused organisation committed to empowering young people aged 13–25 to actively participate in their communities and develop the competences necessary to contribute to positive social change.
The organisation primarily operates in Malta’s Southern Harbour region. It places particular emphasis on engaging young people with fewer opportunities, including those classified as NEET (Not in Education, Employment or Training), and individuals experiencing overlapping vulnerabilities such as socio-economic disadvantage, low educational attainment or social exclusion.
The organisation’s philosophy values diversity as a fundamental strength, recognising that diverse groups create richer opportunities for mutual learning, meaningful exchange, and social development.
Generation (Change?) applies structured youth work methodology grounded in non-formal and project-based education. Its activities include workshops, youth-led initiatives, simulations, debates, creative and digital storytelling projects, environmental awareness campaigns and community-based actions. Core thematic areas include environmental sustainability, wellbeing, active citizenship, sexual health education, social inclusion and creative expression. The organisation provides safe, inclusive spaces where young people can express themselves, develop leadership skills and strengthen their personal and professional competences. I
Generation (Change?) has experience in Erasmus+ Youth projects (KA152, KA153, KA210 and KA220) as well as European Solidarity Corps initiatives, collaborating with partners across Europe. Through these projects, the organisation has strengthened its capacity in project management, youth mobility, intercultural dialogue and structured competence-based learning.
