About Colony of Creators:

Colony of Creators is adriven NGO based in Machico, Madeira Island, Portugal, officially established in 2023 after starting as an informal youth initiative in 2017. We are a non-profit, non-governmental organisation focused on empowering young people aged roughly 15–35 through innovative, intercultural and non-formal education, with a strong emphasis on inclusion, mental health, ecological awareness, digital and AI skills, and active citizenship.

We design and implement Erasmus+ youth exchanges, trainings and local activities that blend experiential learning, collaborative problem-solving, gamified digital tools and creative arts to develop key soft skills such as communication, leadership, critical thinking and teamwork. Our team has over a decade of experience in international mobilities, has supported more than 2,000 educators and adult learners, and collaborates with over 60 partners across Europe, giving us solid organisational capacity and a wide, reliable network. Youths and partners choose us because we combine strong values (tolerance, democracy, solidarity, diversity and gender equality) with hands-on project management expertise, high-quality non-formal methodology, and experienced trainers (including psychologists, environmental experts and media professionals) who ensure safe, inclusive and impactful learning environments in every project we join.
