Youth Reboot Youth Exchange

How do young people really participate today and how can youth spaces make that participation more motivating, visible, and meaningful?

Youth Reboot is an Erasmus+ youth exchange taking place in Marsaxlokk, Malta, bringing together young people aged 16-18 from Malta, Spain, Sweden, Estonia, and Croatia to explore new ways of engaging, contributing, and staying involved in youth organisations and communities.

This exchange focuses on participation, motivation, and belonging, using tools inspired by gamification. Not online games, but real-life tools like clear goals, roles, challenges, feedback, and recognition. Participants will explore how these tools can support youth involvement and how they can be adapted to different local realities.

Throughout the week, young people will work in international teams, share experiences from their own countries, take part in interactive activities, and co-create ideas that reflect how young people participate today, whether loudly, quietly, creatively, or behind the scenes.

Youth Reboot is hands-on, reflective, and collaborative. It values different personalities and ways of contributing, creating space for discussion, creativity, teamwork, and learning by doing. Alongside the programme, participants will also experience Malta through local exploration.
