Our Youth Exchange will bring together 30 young people (aged 18–25) from six European

Madeira.
Our mission is to transform the digital wellness crisis into a cultural preservation opportunity.
In a world where 96% of European youth spend an average of 2h25min daily on social
media, traditional storytelling, folk dances, family recipes, and handmade crafts are fading
from memory.

Our project’s objectives:
● interactive workshops and digital tools increase participants’ cultural knowledge and
engagement
● Foster dialogue and shared cultural experiences, developing intercultural competencies
through daily teamwork and through cultural exchanges
● Create high-quality digital heritage content, reaching wider online audiences, contributing
to the EU’s Cultural Heritage Data Space goals.
● Decrease problematic smartphone use, while promoting mindful digital habits.
Emphasizing the Dopamine Framework
● Promote cultural preservation through positive social media use, with continuing heritage
work post-project.
● Lower anxiety and improve social skills through hands-on activities, making cultural crafts
and tokens representing each other’s culture and traditions.
● Empower youth as digital wellness ambassadors when they return to their communities
