ECO-ENTREPRENEUR: Young Innovators for SustainabilityΒ is a 5-day training project in Spain that brings together 30 youth workers from seven countries, including three from Malta, to build practical skills in green business, circular-economy thinking, and sustainable leadership.

Purpose:
Help youth workers guide young people to create environmentally responsible businesses and social projects, turning climate challenges into real career opportunities and local solutions.

Main goals:

  • Train all 30 participants in sustainable business models and impact-driven entrepreneurship.
  • Have at least 70% run follow-up workshops or mentoring locally, reaching 300+ young people.
  • Produce a free digital toolkit for 500+ youth workers across Europe.
  • Create an online community of 100+ trainers and young green innovators for ongoing collaboration.
  • Spark at least five new international projects focused on sustainability.
  • Reach 1,000+ people through events and online outreach.

Activities:
Based in El Escorial near Madrid, the programme uses interactive, hands-on methods:

  • Designing eco-business ideas and prototypes.
  • Learning circular economy approaches.
  • Practising pitching and finding funding.
  • Developing leadership and mentoring skills.
  • Creating clear action plans to use back home.

Expected impact:
Participants leave ready to train others, supported by shared resources and a strong international network, helping young people across Europe step into green entrepreneurship and lead the shift toward more sustainable communities.
