Digital Storytelling for Positive Change - Youth Exchange in Malta!
At the end of summer (22-28 Sept 2025), something exciting is coming your way.
Projekta Malta is hosting a creative youth exchange focused on digital storytelling, and it’s all about exploring how photography, video, and social media can be used to share stories that connect people, challenge stereotypes, and spark positive change.
We’re bringing together young people from Spain, Italy, Georgia, Slovakia, and, of course, Malta for a week of hands-on workshops, real-world creative challenges, and international collaboration.
What’s this youth exchange all about?
Every day, we scroll through hundreds of videos, posts, and reels. But how often do we stop to think about the stories we’re seeing or the stories we could be telling?
This exchange is all about helping you become a creator, not just a consumer. You’ll explore how to use photography, video, and digital tools to speak up, share what matters to you, and inspire positive change in your community.
Through a mix of hands-on workshops, real-life challenges, and creative teamwork, you’ll:
- Learn how to tell stories that stick
- Build your confidence behind and in front of the camera
- Think critically about the media you consume
- Collaborate with other young people and create content that makes people stop and think
- Use your social media presence to spread truth, challenge stereotypes, and amplify voices that deserve to be heard
💡 Everything’s Covered – 100% Free for Participants
Yes, you read that right! If you’re selected, your accommodation, meals, and all activities for the week are completely free. That means you can focus on learning, creating, and connecting – without worrying about the cost.

You don’t need to fly across Europe to have a powerful experience. Youth exchanges in Malta are just as creative, just as inspiring, and honestly just as fun.

So… who can apply?
We have 6 main spots for young people from Malta aged 15-17, but that’s not all!
If you’re outside that age range but still excited to join, we’ve got a few extra roles available just for local participants:
- Extra Participant – Join selected activities and support international teams
- Leader / Support Role – Assist with group coordination and support participants
- Volunteer – Help with logistics, prep and behind-the-scenes support before or during the exchange
These roles worked brilliantly in our last exchange, and we’re opening them up again to give more young people the chance to be part of it.
