About Genista Research Foundation (GRF):
Genista Research Foundation (GRF), with 23 years of experience working with youths, youth workers, teachers and adults, is today established with 5 different sections each working in different fields to provide more professional support. GRF regularly organises local and national training events, workshops and seminars. It also provides this service to other NGOs and local councils, with professional staff experienced and qualified in the subject. Our directors and staff also offer the services of economic reports, scientific studies, cost-benefit analysis, training and mentoring services. Through the years GRF has coordinated and participated in several projects focusing on the use of non-formal methodologies focusing on using practical media and communication tools as a means to empower disadvantaged youths and females in projects in Palestine, Turkey, Slovakia, Malta and Spain where disadvantaged participants which also included young immigrants were allowed to bring out their creativity and hidden assets through active participation in the workshops and activities organized.
During these last 2 years, we have opened our own Non-formal training centre in Gozo offering specialised training for teachers, youth workers and youths in new methods of education, effective management techniques and strategies, developing 21st-century skills, environmental sustainability, outdoor learning, inclusion and diversity, multisensory teaching, mindful sensory awareness, stress reduction, conflict management, project writing, project management, organic farming, media, communication, EU affairs, Economic affairs, internationalization, start-ups, company development and international network development through the recruitment of professional trainers who joined our organisation on a full time/part-time basis.
Our target groups are varied, including schools, youths including youths with social and educational disadvantages, migrants, female empowerment groups, NEETS and youth workers/teachers.
